Philippa Forsey – Long Service Award

Along with celebrating 40 Years of Creativity Works this year, we are delighted to be celebrating the long and dedicated service of Philippa Forsey, our Creative Wellbeing Manager, who has worked for us for 20 years. Hard to believe, we know!

Philippa was presented with an award by Martin Pople, Creativity Works new Chair at the Private View last month. The stunning award, crafted from various woods, had been made especially by artist Kerry Russell and an artist collective called The Arboretum.

On receiving the award Philippa said:

“A very thoughtful award for longstanding service from Creativity Works staff and trustees! What an incredible and wonderful surprise! I was really blown away by this gesture, a bit emotional and also so happy to receive this. What a treat! Thank you.

It’s hard to know where the last 20 years have gone – the work continues to be as busy and thriving as it has ever been and the projects are still reaching the people who most need it, and participants tell us about the positive impacts this has.

It was lovely to celebrate together at the Creativity Works 40th exhibition at Bath library and be surrounded by some of our partners, artists, volunteers and participants. Working together cocreating change through creativity and creative partnerships with so many skilled people enables creative approaches to be accessible, inclusive and inspiring providing longstanding meaningful activity and connections for many people over many years.

Thank you to all of you lovely, special and inspiring people! What great efforts to make this all happen!”

and Martin said: “It gave me great pleasure to present this award on behalf of the board, staff, artists, volunteers and participants to Philippa as a mark of her outstanding commitment to Creativity Works and the local communities.”

Here’s to many more years Philippa! We recently read about a gentlemen retiring at the good age of 93, so here’s to at least another 20 years ;-D!
